Groundwater Education
About Groundwater Education
Groundwater Education is a simple computer model to simulate groundwater flow. The model can be used in high-school earth science curricula and by the general public. Curriculum materials such as teacher plans and handouts are included to use the simulation in your classroom.
The well-known open-source model MODFLOW is used in this simulation. Users can interact with the model to study the interconnections between groundwater and surface water. Users can investigate how groundwater pumping affects streamflow and wetlands.
