Jana Sebestik
Interim Director of Curriculum Development, College of Education
Jana Sebestik is the Director of the Office for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education (MSTE) in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the MSTE Office, Sebestik spent 34 years as a public school classroom teacher and community college mathematics teacher. She now helps engineers and research scientists connect their research and work to educators, consumers, and students and also serves as the Interim Director of Curriculum Development for the Center for Family and Community Engaged STEAAM (FACES). Jana is the author of multiple curriculum modules in computer science, mathematics, and science including, the Power Park Series, The Power of the Wind, and Discovering Computer Science & Programming through Scratch Levels One, Two, and Three. She has presented at conferences and meetings of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
